After a decades-long career in banking followed by a second career as CEO of a major not-for-profit organization in Philadelphia, Vik has dedicated himself to creating networks of organizations doing the very best work in areas such as food and shelter scarcity along with other critical issues facing our society today.

Now a founding Partner of Doing Good.Well., Vik served as the President and CEO of Philadelphia Zoo supporting global conservation programs, educating over 1.2 million visitors a year, and encouraging humans to care about their role in protecting this planet all species call home. Before joining the Zoo, Vik was part of the executive leadership team at both Wachovia Corporation and CoreStates Financial.

Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of high-performing leadership roles including as Executive V.P. and COO of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, leading a team of 10,000 healthcare professionals and generating $1B in revenue. He also served as President and CEO of Mercy Health System, overseeing five hospitals, physician practices, academic programs, and home care services.

Mike Wang

Mike Wang is guided by a simple principle he learned growing up: leave a place better than you found it. This philosophy is the driving force behind his work with philanthropists and social entrepreneurs, and it’s what excites him about joining the board of Doing Good, Well—an opportunity to leave our world, and our city, better than he found it. Mike believes that giving ought to be a team sport and is passionate about bringing donors together to amplify their collective impact and partnering with community leaders and building on their assets and ideas to create lasting change.
With over twenty years of experience, Mike has led strategy and advocacy initiatives at organizations including Teach For America and other leading education nonprofits. His career began in the classroom as a high school teacher in Louisiana—an experience he calls the most challenging and rewarding of his life— and which led to serving as an education policy adviser to the governor. Today Mike is a partner in one of the nation’s leading philanthropy advising firms, Building Impact Partners, where he coaches, crafts strategy, and helps clients take bold ideas and turn them into meaningful impact.
Amaya Capellán

Amaya Capellán believes in the power of bringing people together to accomplish more than any individual can do alone. It has been the driving force in her professional career and why she’s excited to be a board member of Doing Good. Well., an organization that puts collaboration at the heart of its philanthropic model to drive measurable change. As a Latina with experience across sectors and communities, she has seen that the best outcomes are built with those closest to the problems to be solved. She believes in the Doing Good. Well. model because it channels donor funding to a group of vetted community organizations committed to coordinating around shared goals to address root causes.

For the last 20 years, Amaya has worked as a technology and product executive across Fortune 50, startup, and public-sector organizations. Most recently as Pennsylvania’s Chief Information Officer, she strengthened the Commonwealth’s cybersecurity posture ahead of the 2024 election and launched the nation’s first public-sector GenAI pilot. Before that, she spent seven years at Comcast as a founding team member of Xfinity Mobile and later led the Xfinity App to become the primary digital experience for over 30 million customers.
